Okay some serious hiphop has landed this afternoon so i’mma get straight to it.

Drake is rumoured to have a track on Thank Me Later with fellow Young Money member Lil Wayne entitled “Miss Me.” This tune right here is quite obviously not the final version and doesnt even feature the Wayne verse but, Drake KILLS this. Literally.

Cannae wait for the finished product.

If you didnt know already, Nas & Damien Marley are releasing a joint project together called “Distant Relatives” on May 18. “As We Enter” was a serious tune. This is no different. Two legends in their own musical right together on an album should be dope.

The-Dream is readying his third solo album Love/King for a summertime release. Complex rated his sophomore album Love/Money as their #2 album of 2009, only second to Kid Cudi, so if this is half as good as that; maybe Dream will finally get that Grammy nomination that has eluded him for so long. If you don’t know about that, Dream, real name Terius Nash, had a massive Twiiter rant about how he’s never been given a Grammy nomination despite the numerous hits he’s produced, featured on. I told you all about Trey Songz Music Mondays last week. Two new tracks, every day, unitl the album drops via his Twitter. He didnt disappoint yesterday. Dropped two new tracks. I’m telling you all, jump on Twitter. Its actually pretty good for new music and just other general shit. If you are, follow me here and leave me a shout. The best of the two is a song called Keys. Another Artist who frequently posts on his Twitter, KiD CuDi. He tweeted not too long ago that the leak of Mr. Solo Dolo was not infact by him.

Finally, 50 Cent is apparently dropping a new mixtape today as the release of ‘Before I Self Destruct’ nears. He leaked a song off that Mixtape entitled ‘The War Angel’ yesterday. Um, if the rest of the tape is anything like this, I’m not even gonna bother getting it. I shall say no more on the issue!

I’ve been jumping on Twitter lately. I don’t know why it has taken me so long because it’s actually a pretty good source of new music but hey, follow me here and I’ll try and get back to ya.

Continuing with my Twitter themed post, my favourite R&B artist at the moment, Trey Songz tweeted that he will release two songs every monday until his new album drops in August. Yesterday, he kicked-off his ‘MOnday-Music-Giveaway’ with him going hard at R. Kelly over Hova’s new D.O.A. tune. Did not expect this at all, he literally just attacks him for three minutes straight. I’m not quite sure sending for R. Kelly is a wise move but it will be interesting to see how this pans out. Give it a listen though, its some good shit!

Y’all know I love Drake. Everyone seems to be jumping on So Far Gone right now and there are rumours his first studio album ‘Thank Me Later’ dropping early next year is subject to some major label offers. Best I Ever Had is being released for digitial download soon and that is also rumoured to go straight to numero uno in the States so things are looking gurrrd for him at the moment. A song with him and Trey Songz himself has surfaced recently and it’s been in my head all day. These two suit each other on a track; ‘Successful’ and ‘Replacement Girl’ are sick and this one is no different.

Finally, this tune premiered on MistaJam’s 1XTRA show in May sometime and received a fairly good response. UK grime artist Giggs; most notably famous for his BIG ‘Talking the Hardest’ freestyle has teamed up with Mike Skinner and they have both made this track called ‘Slow Songs.’ Giggs is another with a wank image commercially but this guy can spit. Look out for him in the future.

Anyway, a while ago i posted Trey Songz new tune called Brand New. I am really liking this guy and absolutely lovin’ this track right about now. I believe its the lead song off his sophomore album Ready and I really cant wait for that shit. Anyway, here’s the video for it.

MIMS new album ‘Guilt’ leaked this week as well. Many claim he is a one-hit-wonder for This is Why Im Hot but I wasnt going to judge having never really giving him a proper listen. Seriously, this guy is underrated. Some really good tunes off this record that I really wasnt expecting much from. This album won’t do well, simply because of the perception people have surrounding him but this one tune really deserves a listen. Its wicked.

Times are hard. I have a job and still find myself desperately needing money.The irony is painful. However, last week I was wacthing BBC News and they reported on a man from the UK making £1m from selling stuff from hs house on eBay. This got me really excited and I immediately started rummaging through my shit to start selling. 2 minutes later, I stumbled across my old iPod ..

When I say old, I mean ancient. Seriously, the first iPod mini; big green thing, not even in colour. We’re talking 2004 here; the good ol’ days. Anyway, that iPod had all my old music on it.

Wow.

I spent yesterday afternoon buzzing. Its amazing how good old tunes sound after years without hearing them. Anyway, one song in particular got me going properly. Back in them days, a  young chinese rapper called Jin was about. He had one tune; Learn Chinese featuring Wyclef which was fairly decent that kinda made his name fairly big on the hip-hop scene. His album, The Rest is History was really good but it flopped epically on the charts. He then subsequently retired off the back of it and never made anything again. LOL! There was one tune though, featuring Kanye West that really is the shit. Love this tune to bits. Seriously check it out, the production is shit-hot.

Back to new school now and ‘Trigger’ Trey Songz is slowly & queitly doing his thang. If you follow him on his myspace etc. you will know he leaks a lot of remixes/freestyles over well known beats. This guy deserves more credit than he gets tbh. He is fairly talented. Brand New I think will feature on his sophomore album set to land later this year. Easily one of his better tunes that I am really ‘diggin’ right now.

Finally, a tune that just wont leave my head. A fantastic song by Ladyhawke that every human must have in their music library. Peace.
