New Alan Wilkis, Chubby Fingers and Norman Doray & Arno Cost

I’ve got a fair bit I want to put up so I think I’ll do some of that today, starting with a remix we got sent of Shwayze’s “Get U Home” by Alan Wilkis. Alan has really put his touch on this, with the throbbing drum machine and loud synths which complement the vocals nicely. It really reminds me of something Master Shortie may put out. Get U Home has got some big remixes though, with remixes by Paul Oakenfold, The Bloody Beetroots, LMFAO, and VIKING, as well as Alan’s of course. Viking released a preview a little while ago actually that I forgot to post, so now seems like a good time to put that up. Ak posted The Bloody Beetroots one back here.

Next up is a new Chubby Fingers remix of Nitro Deluxe’s “Let’s Get Brutal.” I really enjoyed this, partly because I have a headache (part in due to listening to DJ Khaled’s new song) and it wasn’t too overbearing. The synths are good and the whole song is quite melodic. It’s less busy that the original, which has some parts which would sound great sampled on a “Dirtee Cash” like song, but a large part of me prefers the remix. Especially the synth bits towards the middle and the end, well really throughout the song. Check it our below.

Nitro Deluxe – Let’s Get Brutal (Chubby Fingers Refix)

Last song today is a remix of an olden by Eric Prydz and Steve Angello. I’ve been loving Eric Prydz’s remix of “Flashback” and probably like it a lot more than the original now. This song is remix of their 2006 track “Woz Not Woz” by Norman Doray & Arno Cost. I hadn’t heard of the pair before but their stuff sounds really good, I’ll leave a link to their latest CD below so you can check it out. The remix of Woz Not Woz though has a lot of different elements to it which the duo have managed to combine together well. Nice synths left over from the original, it’s a good track.

New Beetroots, David Guetta & Nero

The Bloody Beetroots seem to be everywhere nowadays, especially with their debut album ‘Romborama‘ leaking just a couple of weeks ago. Well it seems our favourite masked Italian men are keeping up their good work with a remix of ‘Get You Home’ by Shwayze. It’s not as crazy as some of their previous work but this version is almost a complete remake of the original track. It seems to be a bit more laid back than you would normally expect, it definitely doesnt compare to the likes of Warp 1.9 or Butter but its still worth a listen.

With his fourth studio album entitled ‘One Love’ on the verge of being released on CD format this Monday throughout Europe and on Tuesday in the States, it seems David Guetta is approaching his peak on the mainstream level. Yeah it seems he’s been around for a while now but its only really now that he’s started to collab with some of the hottest stars around including Ne-Yo, Estelle and Kid Cudi to name but a few. He’s already enjoyed some success this year with ‘When Love Takes Over’ with Kelly Rowland and is now doing the same with his track ‘Sexy Bitch‘ featuring none other than Akon. His fourth track on the album, ‘Memories’ features KiD CuDi and the snippet has actually been knocking around the blog-world for about a week now but thanks to Cudi’s twitter the full version has now been released, enjoy…

Not so long ago Eko posted the radio rip of the Nero remix of Ghosts N Stuff by Deadmau5 here. Well it didn’t take that long for a higher quality rip of the full version to surface. Relish the better quality, the lack of unnecessary gibberish over the music and let it caress your ears. I really do hate radio rips…

Hey Rich Girls!

Last summer, I was flicking through the music channels as I regularly do, and I stumbled across a music video PACKED with girls on MTV Base; that instantly caught my attention and it just so happens that I caught the start of it. In case you were wondering, it was the music video to the 2008 summertime hit Buzzin from Shwayze. That song was in my head for what seemed to be like the next 2 weeks and it got heavy rotation on my iPod. That one tune made me get his debut album named Shwayze which was just a bit meh. Nothing spectacular but average.

Shwayze is like an American Mike Skinner. He seems to ‘talk’ on his tracks instead of actually rap. I think thats what I like about him. He doesn’t talk about how many cars he has, or how much his chains cost or anything like that so that wins him points. He seems to be one down to earth guy that likes a good shag (judging by 85% of his lyrics anyway)!

His latest piece of work is the Rich Girls Mixtape which is a helluva lot better than the album. Again, mainly about girls, rich girls at that, it has some really good tracks on there that I love. ‘Cos I’m a nice guy, I’ll link you to them Peace out.
