Every blog and their dog posted something about the legend that is, Michael Jackson after he tragically passed a few months back. Us here at TrueToSound didn’t, therefore I think it’s only right that we post the new single being released by SonyBMG to commemorate his death. It’s taken from the new film ‘This Is It’ which is to hit cinemas very soon.

Number 1. Easy.

Michael Jackson – This Is It

Time for some UK Hip-Hop now. Chipmunk scored his debut number 1 single yesterday with his hit ‘Oopsy Daisy.’ I’m actually happy for the dude and what it says for UK Hip-Hop. He’s worked hard and successfully completed the transition from Grime artist to Mainstream success. This is the latest single from fellow grime artist Scorcher. It’s called ‘Lipsin Ting’ and features a relatively unknown Liam Francis. I doubt it will be hittin radio but it’s not a bad tune from Scorch.

Scorcher – Lipsin’ Ting

Jay Sean became the most successful UK RnB artist last week when his single ‘Down‘ became #1 in the US Billboard Charts. Down has sold over 1.5million records in the states and will be released in the UK next week. Good look for him. His next single features Lil Jon and Sean Paul. Tbh, didn’t really feel it on first listen. But then again, I didn’t like Down that much on first listen. Look how successful that was ..

Also, have I mentioned before that we’re on Twitter?

As the majority of you probably know by now Sean Paul is back. His new album ‘Imperial Blaze’ – is out Tuesday, August 18th and yesterday saw the leak of the track entitled, Press It Up. Its got that Dance Hall meets hip-hop sound, mix that with the lyrics and sounds of Mr. Sean Paul and you’ve got a hot summer jam. I’m expecting big things from Sean Paul this year, he’s got a lot of work to do if he wants to top some of his previous material so let’s hope he’s up to it.

Sean Paul – Press It Up

Another artist who’s finally making a come back this year is none other than Andre 3000. The artist is set to release a solo album and a follow-up to ‘Idlewild’ with Big Boi in ’09, excellent news as far as i’m concerned. His Latest track called Lookin’ 4 Ya is off of Tapemasters Inc. and DJ Envy’s ‘Purple Codeine Vol. 25′. Unfortunately its tagged but nevertheless, it’s still definitely worth a listen.

Andre 3000 – Lookin’ 4 Ya

Finally, i’ve got a track which has actually been out for a while now however, like the Sub Focus track that Blik posted yesterday, the full version has only dropped recently. Sigma are known for their hard Drum & Bass sounds and this track – Paint It Black, is no different, its been quite popular with the likes of High Contrast and Annie Mac as of late so you know it gotta be good…

Sigma – Paint It Black

I’ve always liked Sean Paul. He’s another one of those artists similar to the likes of T-Pain and Akon who haven’t really released a bad song yet. 2005 was undoubtedly his year with smash hits like Get Busy, Like Glue, Temperature, Baby Boy (with Beyonce) and Breathe with Blu Cantrell. Since then however, he hasn’t really released much.

A month back or so, I found a tune from his which I am unsure is new or old but is definitely a sure fire hit. It’s typical Sean Paul, slightly repetitive, not particularly strong on lyrics but still sounds big sameway. Another track has surfaced just over a week ago which is reportedly to be off a forthcoming album which is in my opinion not as good as the former but check them both out.

Sean Paul – So Fine listen on zShare

MistaJam’s show on Radio1/1Xtra was sick last night. I’ve tuned in every day for the past fortnight or so now and I think that was the best one yet. If you didnt tune in, seriously click here and skip to the last half hour and rave to the ‘Daily Dose of Dubstep.’ It was pretty good!

Anyway, someone who I’ve seen about for a while now is UK artist Master Shortie. I heard his tune Dance Like a White Boy on Trevor Nelson’s Lick i think back in March and never really paid it any mind. Anyway, MistaJam played a live set of his yesterday with his latest tune called ‘Dead End.’ I was mildly impressed to say the least and will certainly be checking out any future stuff from him. Now you can catch the live versions of both tracks on the radio player or download the .mp3 to Dead End below and watch the video to Dance Like a White Boy below that.

Master Shortie – Dead End listen on zShare

Finally. A while back, infact ages ago Cos posted the Donaeo Remix, The Count & Sinden remix AND the original to Toddla T & Herve’s ‘Shake It.’ I havent heard the original for ages and forgot how good it was. Cop the tune here:

Toddla T & Hervé – Shake It (Feat. Serocee) listen on zShare

And you can also check that post for other electro-related goodnesss.
