The title pretty much sums this up. Every now and then I’m gonna post some songs that I think really didnt get the recognition they deserved on a commercial level or in terms of blogspace.

Donae’o – “Riot Music” (Skream Remix): Funky House king Donae’o had 2009 on lock with tunes like Party Hard and Devil In a Blue Dress. He dropped his first album half way through 2009; which I thought was fire throughout. Track 1 on that album was called Riot Music and a few weeks after the album dropped, super-producer Skream came thorugh with his Skreamix. He kept Donaeo’s vocals, upped the tempo and added that quality Air-Horn sounding synth to the bassline. End result was deep.

Kano – “Get Wild” (Featuring Aidonia & Wiley) : Now this tune is relatively newish. Kano is coming back to the scene with his next official single since Rock N Roller. He dropped a new mixtape in March, created little buzz. Dropped this tune via his twitter earlier this month but again, it never really caught on. Boyz Noize came harrrdddd on the beat and Aidonia and Wiley do their thing on the hook. I think this song is sick. Get it. PRONTO.

Chiddy Bang – “Decline”: No introduction needed with Chiddy. Their just sick and in Xaphoon Jones, they have one of the best producers in the scene. This tune highlights his production ability beautifully. I’d love to know where this sample came from so if you know, holla please. In the meantime, enjoy this peach.

Consequence – Whatever U Want (G.O.O.D Music Remix ft. Kanye, Kid Cudi, Common, Big Sean & John Legend): I posted this tune in November! How it didn’t blow up/get released I dont know. Every GOOD music member featuring Hudson on this sick track bringing Four minutes and 6 seconds of G.O.O.D-ness. Seriously, this tune is so sick. Infact, if you get one tune out of all these. Get this one. I love it.

B.O.B – Fuck the Money (Featuring Asher Roth): Asher Roth is one of my favourite rappers. He teamed up with B.O.B on this mixtape track to go back-to-back over this deep Kanye beat. It probably didn’t blow up because it is, ONLY a mixtape track but damn, its sick.

If you’re a TrueToSound regular (which I hope you are!), you’ll have most of these. If not, get them asap.

This right here is one of my favourite tunes of 2010. LLoyd Banks and Juelz Santana have a banger here, tearing up the streets of USA. Juelz has been coming with some heat lately, love the tune he did with Chris Brown and other various freestyles he’s done. He puts in a dirty verse on this cut too. Massive tune.

You may remember me getting rather excited over a tune that dubstep producer James Breakage did with the Newham Generals called ‘Hard’. Well he’s back with another track where he’s featured another UK act; Donae’o called ‘Speechless.’ Heard this the other day and well, its not better than the previous but hey, its a good track with a very good video.

I like to see good UK music.

Last week Tinie Tempah got another UK Urban #1. This week is Skeptas turn to see his tune on the charts. You may remember me posting the video the other week; its now time to buy on iTunes. Sorry for the lack of posting these days, it seems we’re all a bit busy. I’ve been meaning to post these two brilliant new remixes for a about a week now but i’ve just not got round to it yet.

First up it’s the Breakage remix of Florence and The Machine‘s – ‘Dog Days Are Over’. Simply put, it’s a brilliant remix to what was an already brilliant track. Breakage reconstructs the beat by upping the BPM, adding some head-bopping drumlines and including an incredible array of synths throughout. Having said that, the best thing about the track is probably the fact that everything he introduces takes nothing away from Florence’s voice. As un-manly as that sounds, it’s true. If anything, when he isolates her voice, it sounds better. Make sure you check this one out – I saw it over at NME.

Next up it’s a remix from none other than the Croydon based dubstep pioneer Skream. I’ve been meaning to get my hands on a decent copy of this remix ever since I heard it on Mistajam’s show a good couple of months ago now. Having already enjoyed some success on the music circuit with remixes from the likes of Shy FX, it seems the track can enjoy a prolonged success with this mix as well. ‘Riot Music’ itself is a phenomenal track, Donae’o goes hard just as he always does but with Skream pulling out the heavy jungle drum beats and throwing in some synths on top of that, it makes for incredible listening. If you like your bass you’ll definitely enjoy this one. There have a been a few rips of this knocking about for a while now but this is the proper version, enjoy.

Next up is the Prince of Grime himself Donae’o. Made big movements on the funky scene this year and is looking to follow up his success with his latest song ..

Finally, 50 Cent. His largely anticipated album ‘Before I Self Destruct’ has been putback too many times. His buzz is slowly building in anticiaption for it and here is his latest video:

First up, some new Lupe. Lupe is most definitely in one of the best rappers in the game. Some say he felt a bit salty about not being on ‘The List’ but he claims that he wasn’t expecting to be on it anyway! ..

‘Not a diss of the list…knew I wasn’t gonna make it ha!…but I’m using the fact that I wasn’t on it as an excuse to just start wrecking shit on a frequent basis so by the time the next one comes out I’ll be number 1,2,3,4 and 5…’

Lupe Fiasco – Fire

Now the official .mp3 of Snoop Dogg and The-Dream‘s new cut. This got its exlcusive on the radio last week and the .mp3 just landed. To my surprise, it’s not a bad track. I am not aware of a comeback album or project from Snoop but nonetheless it’s worth a DL. Nice hook from Dream, typical rapping from Snoop. Check it out.

Finally, here is the official video for Donae’os smash hit ‘Party Hard.’ Many of you, like I did will think, ‘Hold on, this tune is fucking old!’ It is. It dropped in January! The video is finally here though. Its not a bad one either. Just a bit late!

I havent posted music in a fuckin’ age. Its been a very busy period for me so I apologise in that respect. Without further ado though ..

I’m gonna kick off with a bit of Skream. Now, I’m a big fan of this dude. I have posted frequently about his previous works in the past and will continue to listen to more of his stuff. I heard this tune on the radio ages and ages ago and have been looking for a full link ever since. I only recently found one so, for some, it may be a touch old. Nevertheless its still sick.

Skream – Burnin’ Up

Now we’re gonna drop into a bit of funky. Jeremih has had without doubt one of the biggest tunes of the year so far with ‘Birthday Sex.’ If you haven’t heard it, you must’ve lived in a cave since January. Every radio station, every music channel has been blaring it for a good while now and to be fair, it still sounds as good as it did when I first heard it. Funky house general Donae’o jumped on the buttons to do a remix of this and I was actually surprised at how it turned out. Decent funky vibe over this big RnB hit. Check that out.

Jeremih – Birthday Sex (Donae’o Remix)

Similar to Skream. I am a big fan of Rusko. Both are very good dubstep producers in their own right. Not too long ago it was dupstep week on BBCs 1XTRA and I heard his own ‘Euphoria Mix’ of Mr. Hudsons ‘White Lies.’ I was impressed. Very impressed. Get it.

I am looking forward to Mr. Hudsons debut album ‘Straight No Chaser.’ It’s due for release within the next few weeks and all the leaks so far have been pretty solid. Similarly, Chipmunks debut is coming soon. Things are looking good for him with ‘Oopsy Daisy’ set to become a top 5 hit. To be fair, its looking good for UK hip-hop right about now. If Dizzee Rascal‘s album doesn’t make number one come sunday, I will be very surprised. Especially with jokes adverts like these ..

And finallyy; new Weezy. I really liked Prom Queen, despite its ridiculous number of haters. Its been one of my most played tracks even now after its release a few months back and I am really looking forward to ‘Rebirth.’ This is reportedly the third leak off the forthcoming album from Lil Wayne which has been pushed back twice now. I hate it when albums are pushed back; its fucking annoying. There still is no sign of that Drake mixtape which was meant to drop Monday!

Meh, I’m off for another day of tedious and draining revision.

That’s literally about it, so I’ll just give you a newish Deadmau5 track called Catbread which is pretty good, doesn’t really fit in his ‘melodic’ department (Arguru, Faxing Berlin etc)  which is when I like him the most but its still decent.

Hey that rhymed! Anyway, Funky House has been gaining in popularity bigtime over the last couple of months. Right now, I cant get enough of it. Its the kind of music anyone can listen to and you just automatically makes everyone nod their head to it.

Anyway, Crazy Cousinz and Donae’o have the funky house scene ‘on lock’ right about now. You may remember a while back, I posted the hit African Warrior by Donaeo; well he has followed that up with another banger, namely Party Hard which is a hard track to say the least.

Meleka and Kyla are artists who have had tracks remixed by Crazy Cousinz and gone on to be HUGE hits on the funky scene. ‘Go’ by Meleka and ‘Do You Mind” by Kyla are possibly the best out there right now tbh and the former is probably my favourite track of the moment. Definitely check those out.

Finally, you’ve all seen and heard the Head Shoulders Kneez and Toez revolution which is sweeping the nation by new hip-hop group K.I.G. If you haven’t then where the fuck have you been for the last 3 months I will leave you a youtube link for you to bless your ears and eyes with. In other news, Gracious Napa Man K (cant get enough of that name!) has made up the new one which imo is better than the HSK&T. Its called the ‘Migraine Skank’ and its just a jokes light -hearted tune with a jokes dance move to accompany it. Its not so much Funky House but is so good in a rave if you get loadsa people doing it!

Check all these out if you get a chance. K.I.G are rumoured to go straight to Number One for a long time when the tune is officially released for digital downloads. So watch this space.

Oh and Flo Rida’s – R.O.O.T.S has officially leaked. I am listening to it now. So far so shit tbh. Check back here tomorow for reviewwww!
