Foamo kills it with his latest remix to Nas and Damian Marley‘s, ‘As We Enter’. I’ve always been a big fan of Foamo’s work with his remix to Major Lazer’s, ‘Bruk Out’ standing out in my head simply because I rinsed it for about 2 weeks straight… Anyway in his latest remix he smashes the lyrics from the original over an uptempo, synth-loaded dancefloor banger. Fair play to him dropping this free on his SoundCloud and I think he also posted a link on his twitter so check that out as well.

Kode 9 dropped his DJ Kicks mix this Monday just gone by, the 21st. His complitation features over 30 tracks from various artists including a number from artists signed on to his label, Hyperdub. The 4th track on the mix entitled, ‘You Don’t Wash’ has been remixed by none other than the American dubstep power-house Martyn. The remix itself features a number of different synth-melodies looped into a bass-heavy beat. Make sure you check this one out. (via XLR8R)

For all of you who have already listened to Foals’ new album, ‘Total Life Forever’ you would have probably realised that the band adopted a slightly atmospheric, soft-melody approach to a number of songs including, ‘Spanish Sahara’. The Deadboy remix of the track doesn’t really deviate that much from the original path, with the tenebrous approach prevailing with the aid of a soft two-step beat over the original mellow lyrics and a few synths appearing towards the end. I wouldn’t class it as the biggest remix of the year but that doesn’t take away from the fact that the track is still quality. (via RCRD LBL)
