Saw Lady GaGa’s video for Bad Romance yesterday and all I can say is it’s absolutely brilliant. The eyes are a bit scary at times I have to be honest but it could probably be the best video of 09, although all of GaGas videos are normally of a high standard. Another thing I’ve really liked recently is Ne-Yo’s hook on 50 Cent’s “Baby By Me.” It’s just so smooth. Hope Ne-Yo puts out some new solo material soon as I’ve loved his previous stuff, some great RnB.
First song up is a new Don Diablo track called “I Need To Know.” It’s a bit polished compared to what I’m used to from him but I like the beat that the song has and the vocals fit it really well. It reminds me a bit of what Simian Mobile Disco would sound like if they took a more hip-hop approach to their music, in that it still has some good synths with an urban beat. It’s a good track and as it hasn’t made the album I’m excited to see what has. If you’d like a free copy of the album before it’s released, head over to http://www.dondiablo.com/freestuff/ and sign up for the mailing list.
There’s also a new remix of Crookers’ “Put Your Hands On Me” by Sticky K. I really liked the original and Sticky K have certainly added their touch to the song. The chopping of the vocals works well with the beat which has become much harder than the original. The song has loads of different parts to it as well, and I quite like it. Check it out below.

Last track today is by O’Spada and is called “Ten Strikes” – and I’m a really big fan of this song. The song is a mix of many genres; soul, electro and funk to name a few. The end result is great though, with the powerful female vocals being accompanied by a great beat reminiscent of an 80s funk song. It’s really brightened up my day with its bright sound. O’Spada’s debut album is due out next year in early 2010, and I can’t wait to hear more from this group who clearly have a lot of potential. One to look for in 2010.
