This is a first for me and I intend to do it many times more. I also couldnt think of a more worthy artist to do this for.
D Double E is a legend in the scene. To those who are a fan of UK Grime, he’ll need no introduction. For those that aren’t, this guy is a pioneer. He’s been at the forefront of the game for almost a decade and still remains one of the illest and most well respect MCs to this day. For those that were locked into the 1XTRA UKG takeover last night, his ‘Woo Riddim’ was easily the most played tune throughout. Seventeen Year-Old producer S-X created a monster with this beat and as of now over 50 MC’s have spat over it. Double was one of the last to do so and his is COMFORTABLY the best. I know this shit word-for-word.
Double, Signed to Dizzees ‘Dirtee Stank’ label as one half of the Newham Generals is preparing to release a lot of stuff over the summer. Last night his next single Street Fighter hit iTunes. For more lyrical fire similar to the Woo, BUY IT.
I went to Wireless Festival at Hyde Park yesterday. I paid the £50 to see Drake and Jay-Z primarily. But Drizzies mother got ill and he cancelled. That left me pissed. However, I definitely wasn’t let down. In order I saw Scorcher, J. Cole, Wale, Wiley/ Roll Deep, Tinie Tempah, Chase & Status & Jay-Z.
Scorcher - I don’t like this guy. He kept wheelying himself too. Only watched him ‘cos it was a choice between him and Fugative. (Theres no bloody way I’m watching that prick.)
J. Cole – DOPE. He didn’t think he’d have many fans but alot of the people in the crowd were reciting his lyrics. Saved ‘Grown Simba’ til last too. Good performance.
Wale - Performed ‘Beautiful Bliss’ with J. Cole. That was a nice touch. Did some album shit and also did ’90210′. My joint.
Wiley / Roll Deep – Wiley is hard at a rave. Merked with ‘Wearing My Rolex’ and ‘Take That’ went offffff. He also did my tune ‘Electric Booglaoo.’ Brought out Mz. Bratt to do ‘Selecta.’ That was nuts, she had the place jumping to that. Roll Deep followed to do the anthem ‘When I’m Ere’ and Good Times etc. All round pretty good.
Tinie Tempah – Had the place ringing off with ‘Frisky.’ Did alot of new album shit. Sounds like an album full of radio hits. Kinda average.
Chase & Status – Wow. Never seen a moshpit so big. They did ‘Hurt You,’ ‘Smash TV’ and ‘End Credits’ to begin. The drops on those were dirty. Then they brought out a special guest and of all people Tempa T came out to do ‘Next Hype’ over ‘Saxon.’ I went fuckin crazy. Tempz is a beast on the mic and Saxon is too much. I didnt think it could get much better then they followed that with ‘Eastern Jam.’ Was fucked. Had to leave early to get into a decent position for Jay-Z but was an epic set.
Hova - I don’t even need to say how amazing this was. Not many people can do a 90-minute set and yet still have 50,000 people singing along to almost every track. His catalogue of tunes is monumental. Did lots of BP3 shit, old stuff new stuff, stuff like ‘Jockin Jay-Z’ and then brought out Hudson for ‘Forever Young’ and J. Cole for ‘A Star is Born.’ Also he saved ‘Encore’ til last. Unbelieveable. Best Rapper Alive.
All in all it was pretty damn immense. Its hard to imagine it being any better but if Drizzy came out and started spittin:
‘I BE ON THAT TWENTY’FOUR HOUR CHAAAMPAGGNEEE DIETT …’
I woulda bussed a healthy nut.
Special shoutout to DJ Yasmin. She was on the decks between sets at Stage 2 and did a very good job every single time. At one point she played this joint by UK producer Redlight. It went off differently.
This is kinda irrelevant but I thought it was kinda funny. Instead of doing the usual interview and performace. Drake and Jimmy Kimmel produced this. The Snoop Dogg reference was jokes, check it out:
With the line-up of one of the hottest festivals around being released at the end of last month we thought we’d give you chance to see what they’ve got in store for you this year courtesy of Creamfields themselves.
If you’re looking for a good time with your mates or a certain special someone, there’s nothing like hitting a festival. Tickets are still available from a number of outlets but you must be over 18.
We’ll try and keep you up to date with Creamfields this year by bringing you a couple of interviews from the artists playing there so definitely keep an eye out for that.

Now I’ve been looking at blog comments about this and some haters are coming with the whole ‘Too many features for your debut LP’ shit and others are saying ‘Damn, Dream, TI, Nicki, Jeezy, Weezy, Jay and Swizzy this is gonna be some dope shit’ shit! I’m one of those guys. I actually dont think that there has been a more highly aniticipated album for a long while. June 15 is gonna be a crazy day. Drizzy dropped a new freestyle named “9am in Dallas” today as well. Just a simple freestyle but a serious flow and some nice bars. Also catch the radio rip of the official confirmed third single “Miss Me” featuring Weezy.
BY THE WAY! I’ve resurrected my Twitter fully with a change of name and allsorts. Follow me here to see some shit you dont get to see on the blog. Like Tinie Tempahs new video that has been unfortunately banned from embedding by his label.
